PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL CORP. ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF VICE PRESIDENT OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Melville, New York April 9, 2009…..Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced the appointment of Patrick T. Crowley as Vice President of Research and Development. In this position, Mr. Crowley will be responsible for the Company’s global research and development activities and will report to Brian Shore, Park’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Crowley had been President of Nelco Products Pte. Ltd., Park’s high-technology electronics circuitry materials and advanced composite materials business unit located in Singapore, from September 2008 to February 2009. Previously, Mr. Crowley had been President of Neltec, Inc., Park’s high-technology electronics circuitry materials business unit located in Tempe, Arizona, since his appointment to that position in August 2005, and he had served as President of Neltec Europe SAS, Park’s electronics circuitry materials business unit located in Mirebeau, France, from October 2004 to May 2005. From 1998 to 2004, Mr. Crowley had been Quality Assurance Manager at Neltec, Inc., and for the thirty years prior to 1998, Mr. Crowley held various operational, managerial and sales positions with several companies in the electronics manufacturing industry.
