PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL CORP. ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENTS OF MARKETING AND SALES VICE PRESIDENTS
Melville, New York, Monday, September 21, 2009…..Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced the appointment of Ms. Katherine (“Kory”) O. Abbitt as Vice President of Sales and Marketing – Americas. In this new position, Ms. Abbitt will be responsible for the marketing and sales of all the Corporation’s product lines in North America and South America. Ms. Abbitt will report to Brian Shore, Park’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Anthony W. DiGaudio, the Corporation’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, will assume the new position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing – Asia and Europe. In this new position, Mr. DiGaudio will be responsible for the marketing and sales of all of the Corporation’s product lines in Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia. Mr. DiGaudio will continue to report to Brian Shore.
Ms. Abbitt had been Global Sales Manager/Carbon Fibers at Hexcel Corporation in Stamford, Connecticut since December 2007, and prior to that time she held sales and marketing positions in Hexcel’s aerospace business and infusion product line business since March 2006. Previously, she held business development positions with A&P Technology, Inc., a manufacturer of braided reinforcements in Cincinnati, Ohio from May 1998 to March 2006, sales and marketing and engineering positions at Cytek Engineered Materials from January 1990 to May 1998 and at GE Aircraft Engines from July 1985 to January 1990. Ms. Abbitt received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Dayton.
Mr. DiGaudio originally joined Park Electrochemical Corp. in May 2002 as Product Director and was promoted to Vice President of Quality in May 2004, Vice President of Sales in June 2005 and Vice President of Marketing and Sales in June 2006. Prior to joining Park, Mr. DiGaudio had over eight years of technical and customer interface experience. For several years prior to joining Park, he was Technical Manager for Metro Circuits, Division of PJC Technologies, Inc. in Rochester, NY. Mr. DiGaudio received a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University in 1993.
