FiberCote recently completed its fourth prepreg lamina allowables database and its most recent addition to the E-765 Family of Prepregs & FAA Approved Design Allowables Databases – E-765/370 gsm 6K5HS-T300

New York, March 15, 2002 – FiberCote helped to pioneer the “AGATE Method” in the late 1990’s – a new composite materials qualification methodology that has since been accepted by the FAA and is based on MIL 17 standards and procedures. John Tauriello, Director of Marketing & Sales, stated that “… to date, FiberCote’s E-765 Family has helped over 15 customers to reduce time, cost and risk associated with the development of prepreg design allowables, alternate material qualification, raw material procurement, part fabrication and lean manufacturing initiatives. Dr. Steven Peake, Technical Director, stated that “… E-765/6K5HS has already gained acceptance in the market and the new database has been requested by several customers.”

Mr. Tauriello also stated that FiberCote offers FAA approved lamina & laminate allowables for 3KPW-T300 and lamina allowables for T700 Uni and 7781, and expects to complete extensive laminate allowables databases for 3KPW-T300, 6K5HS-T300 and Uni-T700 in cooperation with AGATE (Advanced General Aviation Technology Experiments program) and RITA (Rotorcraft Industry Technology Association) by year-end.
