PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF FRED HICKMAN TO VICE PRESIDENT OF OEM MARKETING MELVILLE, New York, April 22, 2005….Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced that Fred E. Hickman III has been appointed to the new position of Vice President, OEM Marketing. Fred’s new responsibilities will involve a more industry specific focus in the global OEM marketing of Park’s advanced composite and RF/microwave materials. He will report to Steve Schaefer, the Company’s Senior Vice President, Marketing. Mr. Hickman joined Park in 1991 as the Engineering Manager of Nelco Technology, Inc. and has served in a variety of capacities since that time, including Director of Technology at Neltec, Inc. and most recently as Vice President of OEM Marketing and Technology. Prior to 1991, Mr. Hickman held various engineering positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, Hadco Corporation and Westinghouse Corporation. Mr. Hickman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina. Commenting on the announcement, Steve Schaefer said, “As part of our advanced materials technology initiative, we need to work very closely with major OEMs. Fred has led our OEM efforts on the digital side of the PWB industry for several years. I am very excited that he is taking on this challenge to accelerate our penetration into the composites and RF/microwave market sectors.
