PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF JOHN C. WEIDNER AS PRESIDENT OF PARK’S NELTEC EUROPE BUSINESS UNIT

MELVILLE, New York, May 12, 2005….Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced the appointment of John C. Weidner as the President of Neltec Europe SAS, Park’s high-technology printed circuit materials business unit located in Mirebeau, France.

Mr. Weidner has over thirty years of management and engineering experience in the advanced composite industry. He has held senior management, business development, research and development, technical service, engineering and manufacturing positions at Vector Composites, Incorporated, The National Composite Center, Advanced Composites Group, Inc., AAR Composites, Alliant Techsystems Inc. and Hercules Incorporated. Mr. Weidner was President and Chief Executive Officer of Vector Composites, Incorporated in Dayton, Ohio from January 2004 to April 2005, Director, Business Development, Aerospace and Defense at The National Composite Center in Kettering, Ohio from January 2003 to January 2004, President of Advanced Composites Group, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma from January 2001 to January 2002, President and General Manager of AAR Composites in Clearwater, Florida from July 1998 to January 2001 and Director, Composite Structures at Alliant Techsystems Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah from January 1993 to July 1998. Mr. Weidner also held various business development, research and development, technical service, process engineering, manufacturing and management positions at Hercules Incorporated from June 1970 to January 1995. Mr. Weidner received a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Dayton.
