Park Electrochemical Announces Appointment of Konstantine N. Karavakis as Director of Research and Development

Lake Success, New York, December 11, 2003….Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced the appointment of Konstantine N. (“Gus”) Karavakis as Director of Research and Development. Mr. Karavakis will be responsible for the company’s global research and development activities and will have central leadership responsibilities relating to the company’s technology roadmap. Mr. Karavakis will report to Steve Schaefer, the company’s Senior Vice President, Technology.

Mr. Karavakis has 20 years of experience in flex and rigid printed circuit board fabrication, integrated circuit packaging, and wafer level testing. He has held a number of senior research and development and technology positions and most recently served as Director of Technology for Nexcleon, Inc. Mr. Karavakis has also held senior engineering and technology positions at Kulicke & Soffa Industries, Inc., Tessera Inc., and Amp/Akzo Inc. Mr. Karavakis holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the City College of New York and a Masters of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.
