Park Electrochemical Announces Appointment of Roland Erismann as Park’s China Country Manager and General Manager of Park’s Business Center in China

Lake Success, New York, November 8, 2001…Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced that Roland Erismann has joined the Company as Park’s China Country Manager and General Manager of the Company’s recently established business center in Wuxi, China, which operates under the name Nelco Products (Wuxi) Co. Ltd. (“Nelco Wuxi“). Mr. Erismann will report to Michael A. Hehl, Managing Director of Park’s Nelco Products Pte. Ltd. business unit located in Singapore.

Nelco Wuxi, a wholly owned Park subsidiary, is located approximately 140 kilometers northwest of Shanghai in the Wuxi-Singapore Industrial Park in Wuxi, China. Nelco Wuxi will provide advanced multilayer circuitry materials, as well as customer and technical support services, to leading electronics manufacturing customers throughout China.

Mr. Erismann has over twenty-five years of experience in manufacturing, sales and marketing in senior management positions in large multi-national corporations in the electronics field, such as National Semiconductor and Astec (BSR) Plc. He was managing director of Astec Circuit Boards Ltd. in Hong Kong from 1983 to 1992, and he was managing director of Zemos China Ltd., a manufacturer of cable assemblies, wire harnesses and printed circuit board assemblies in Zhong Shan, Guangdong, China from 1993 to June 1998. Mr. Erismann has been an elected member of the investment committee of the Sino-Swiss Partnership Fund on behalf of the Swiss government for several years. Since June 1998, Mr. Erismann has been engaged in providing consulting services in China to assist foreign investors in establishing operations in China. Mr. Erismann has been working and living in the Far East since 1976 and in China for the past five years.
