Park Electrochemical Announces Election of Jay B. Grover as President of Park’s Neltec, Inc. Business Unit and Departure of Robert A. Forcier From The Company

LAKE SUCCESS, New York, August 28, 2001… Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) Lake Success, New York, August 28, 2001…Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE-PKE) announced the election of Jay B. Grover as the President of Neltec, Inc., Park’s high-technology circuitry material business unit located in Tempe, Arizona. Park also announced that Robert A. Forcier, who has served as the President of Neltec and as Senior Vice President of Park for the last two years, will be leaving the company on September 17, 2001, which is Mr. Forcier’s fifteen-year anniversary with the company.

Mr. Grover has over fifteen years of management experience in the high-performance printed circuitry materials industry. Mr. Grover joined the company in February 1997 and has held positions with both Neltec and Nelco Technology, Inc., the company’s mass lamination business unit which was recently sold to DDi Corp. Mr. Grover has been the Director of Operations of Neltec since September 1999 and has been responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Neltec business for the last two years. In addition, Mr. Grover has had operational responsibility for Neltec, S.A. since December 2000. Neltec, S.A. is the company’s RF microwave materials business located in Lannemezan, France. Mr. Grover previously worked for Arlon, Inc. from 1985 to 1996, where he served as plant manager of Arlon’s high-performance circuitry materials facility located in Rancho Cucamonga, California and Arlon’s RF microwave materials facility located in Bear, Delaware.

Fred Hickman, the company’s Vice President of OEM Marketing and Technology, will now report to Emily Groehl, the company’s Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. (Mr. Hickman previously reported to Mr. Forcier.) In addition to her current responsibilities, Ms. Groehl will now have responsibility for the company’s OEM and technical marketing functions.

Neltec is the business unit from where all of our new, high-technology products are initially introduced. For example, our digital broadband product line including N4000-13 and N6000 were originally introduced by Neltec. Neltec has also undergone a major facilities expansion which was completed approximately six months ago. Further, our RF microwave business in Lannemezan, France was recently integrated into the Neltec business unit. Neltec has also recently embarked on a RF microwave expansion in North America. We are so very pleased to be able to place our Neltec business under the stewardship of a proven high-technology leader like Jay Grover.”
