Park Electrochemical Announces Election of Steven Garrette as President of Park’s FiberCote Industries, Inc. Business Unit

Lake Success, New York, November 8, 2001 – Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE-PKE) announced the election of Steven L. Garrette as the President of FiberCote Industries, Inc., Park’s advanced composite materials business unit located in Waterbury, Connecticut. Mr. Garrette succeeds John W. Brooks, Jr., who had served as the President of FiberCote Industries since June 1994.

Mr. Garrette has fifteen years of manufacturing, sales and management experience in the composite materials industry. Mr. Garrette joined FiberCote Industries as Director of Operations in June 2000. Before joining FiberCote Industries, Mr. Garrette was manufacturing manager of Hermes Abrasives Ltd. in Virginia Beach, Virginia from June 1999 to June 2000, adhesives manufacturing manager of Cytec Fiberite, Inc. in Harve de Grace, Maryland from October 1997 to June 1999, accounts manager at Fiberite, Inc. in Virginia from 1995 to 1997, and he held various operating positions with ICI Fiberite in Greenville, Texas from 1987 to 1995. Mr. Garrette has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
