PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF N4000-7 EF® HALOGEN-FREE EPOXY SUBSTRATE SYSTEM

MELVILLE, New York, April 29, 2005….Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced the introduction of its new N4000-7 EF® halogen-free, 165°C Tg substrate. This new advanced materials system is now available globally with manufacturing at Park’s Neltec, Inc. business unit in Tempe, Arizona and Nelco Products Pte. Ltd. business unit in Singapore.

The N4000-7 EF® series of laminate and prepreg materials is designed to provide Park’s customers with a “green” solution for the changing landscape of environmental challenges. It is a lead-free compatible material that provides excellent thermal and moisture resistance properties and exceeds the electrical attributes of a brominated FR-4 system. These qualities, combined with proven CAF resistance and a UL 94V-0 designation, make N4000-7 EF® a good choice for higher temperature, lead-free assembly designs.

Certain portions of this press release may be deemed to constitute forward looking statements that are subject to various factors which could cause actual results to differ materially from Park’s expectations. Such factors include, but are not limited to, general conditions in the electronics industry, Park’s competitive position, the status of Park’s relationships with its customers, economic conditions in international markets, the cost and availability of utilities, and the various factors set forth under the caption “Factors That May Affect Future Results” after Item 7 of Park’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended February 29, 2004.
