PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL CORP. ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF HOWARD R. ELLIOTT AS VICE PRESIDENT OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Melville, New York, June 21, 2006….Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE-PKE) announced the appointment of Howard R. Elliott as Vice President of Research and Development. In this new position, Mr. Elliott will be responsible for the leadership of the company’s global research and development activities.

Mr. Elliott will continue to serve as the President of Nelco Products Pte. Ltd., Park’s advanced materials subsidiary located in Singapore, and as President of Nelco Technology (Zhuhai FTZ) Ltd., Park’s electronics circuitry material subsidiary located in Zhuhai, China. Mr. Elliott will continue to be based in Singapore, and he will continue to report to Brian E. Shore, Park’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to his appointment as President of Nelco Products Pte. Ltd. and of Nelco Technology (Zhuhai FTZ) Ltd. in August 2005, Mr. Elliott had been the President of Neltec, Inc., Park’s high-technology advanced materials business unit located in Tempe, Arizona.

Brian Shore, Park’s President and CEO, said, “The timing of Howard’s appointment as Vice President of R&D is coincident with the unification of the company’s R&D function. Although Park’s R&D will be performed in both Arizona and Singapore in the future, we now have one unified Advanced Materials R&D function which will be responsible for the development work relating to all of the company’s product lines, including the Nelco® printed circuit materials product line and the Nelcote™ advanced composite materials product line. Since Park now defines itself as an Advanced Materials company which is unified by the core capabilities of polymer resin formulation and coating technology, it is essential for Park’s R&D function to be unified based on those capabilities as well!”
