PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL CORP. ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF VICE PRESIDENT OF AEROSPACE STRUCTURES MARKETING AND ENGINEERING

Melville, New York, Thursday, March 25, 2010…..Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced the promotion of Gregory D. Strand to the position of Vice President of Aerospace Structures Marketing and Engineering. In this new position, Mr. Strand will be responsible for overseeing the global marketing and engineering of the Corporation’s composite aircraft and space vehicle parts and will report to Brian Shore, Park’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Strand joined Park Electrochemical Corp. as Director of Aerospace Structures Engineering on April 1, 2008, when Park acquired substantially all the assets and business of Nova Composites, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of aircraft composite structures and the tooling for such structures, located in Lynnwood, Washington. Park conducts such business as Park Aerospace Structures Corp. Mr. Strand had been the President of Nova Composites, Inc., which he founded in 1996. Prior to 1996, Mr. Strand had been President of Intec Composites and its predecessor, Integrated Technologies, Inc., which provided high-end material testing services primarily for aerospace customers. Prior to founding Integrated Technologies, Inc. in 1989, Mr. Strand had been a materials testing manager with Fatigue Technologies, Inc. in Seattle, Washington and a manager at Pacific Testing Laboratories in Seattle. Mr. Strand received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science from Seattle Pacific University and Master of Business Administration degree from University of Washington.
