Park Electrochemical Corp. Announces Appointment Of Vice President Of Business Development

Lake Success, New York, February 26, 2003….Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced the appointment of Steven P. Schaefer to the position of Vice President of Business Development. In his new position, Mr. Schaefer will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s strategy for new business ventures. As a priority, Mr. Schaefer will focus on developing the company’s current and future strategy for China. He will continue to report to Emily J. Groehl, Park’s Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales.

Mr. Schaefer previously served as Senior Director of Product Technology for Park and has been employed by the company since January 2001. In his new position, Mr. Schaefer will continue in a leadership role to guide the company’s new products function.

Prior to joining Park Electrochemical Corp., Mr. Schaefer held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for OMG Fidelity. He has held a variety of senior level positions in the electronics industry for the past 19 years, predominantly in printed wiring board fabrication. Mr. Schaefer received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1983 and is an active member of IPC, including the Suppliers Council Steering Committee.
