Park Electrochemical Corp. Announces Changes In Officer Positions

LAKE SUCCESS, New York, March 22nd, 2005…Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced that Steven P. Schaefer, who currently serves as the Company’s Senior Vice President, Technology, has been elected to the new position of Senior Vice President, Marketing for the Company, and that Emily J. Groehl, who currently serves as the Company’s Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, has been elected to the new position of Senior Vice President, Sales for the Company. The Company also announced that it is currently recruiting for a new leader for its technology function.

Brian Shore, Park’s President and CEO, said, “As we explained to the investment community during our Third Quarter conference call held on December 22, 2004, the Company is in the process of reinventing itself from an electronic laminate company into an advanced materials company which produces high-technology digital and RF/microwave printed circuit materials and advanced composite materials for the electronics, military, aerospace, wireless communication and industrial markets. In order for the Company to succeed in this reinvention, highly effective strategic marketing will be critical. Since Steve Schaefer is, in my opinion, one of our very best strategic thinkers, we have asked Steve to take on the job of Senior Vice President of Marketing for the corporation. Needless to say, we are very pleased that Steve has agreed to take on this responsibility. Since Steve is stepping into this new role, we are in the process of recruiting for a new leader of our technology function. Of course, I am also pleased that Emily Groehl will continue as our Senior Vice President of Sales. As far as I am concerned, Emily is the best salesperson I have ever known, and I have known the best and the worst of them.”
