Park Electrochemical Corp. Announces Election of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Lake Success, New York, November 2, 2000…Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE-PKE) announced the election of F. Gordon Bitter as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company.

Mr. Bitter has held senior financial and administrative positions at several prominent companies during the past twenty five years, including The Singer Company (where Mr. Bitter served as Senior Vice President and CFO), The Perkin-Elmer Corporation (where Mr. Bitter served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration), Augat, Incorporated (where Mr. Bitter served as Vice President-Finance) and Harman International Industries (where Mr. Bitter served as Vice President of Finance and Administration). Most recently, Mr. Bitter served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration of Hadco Corporation, a major manufacturer of advanced electronic interconnect products, until Hadco was acquired in June 2000 by Sanmina Corporation, a leading electronics contract manufacturing services company. (Prior to its acquisition by Sanmina, Hadco was a major customer of Park’s. Sanmina currently is a major customer of Park’s). Mr. Bitter received a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Bucknell University in 1964 and received an MBA in finance from the University of Pennsylvania in 1969.
