Park Electrochemical Corp. Announces Election of Senior Vice President, Technology

Lake Success, New York, August 19, 2003….Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced the election of Steven P. Schaefer to the position of Senior Vice President, Technology. In his new position, Mr. Schaefer will be responsible for the company’s research and development efforts, and he will continue to lead the company’s new products function. In his new position, Mr. Schaefer will report to Brian Shore, Park’s President and CEO.

Mr. Schaefer previously served as Vice President of Business Development and as Senior Director of Product Technology for Park and has been employed by the company since January 2001.

Prior to joining Park Electrochemical Corp., Mr. Schaefer held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for OMG Fidelity. He has held a variety of senior level positions in the electronics industry for the past nineteen years, predominantly in printed wiring board fabrication. Mr. Schaefer received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1983 from The State University of New York.
