PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL CORP. ANNOUNCES NEW OFFICERS IN CHARGE OF ASIAN AND NELTEC, INC. BUSINESS UNITS

Melville, New York, August 18, 2005….. Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE-PKE) announced the appointment of Howard R. Elliott as the President of Nelco Products Pte. Ltd., Park’s high-technology electronics circuitry material subsidiary located in Singapore. Mr. Elliott will also serve as President of Nelco Technology (Zhuhai FTZ) Ltd., Park’s electronics circuitry material subsidiary located in Zhuhai, China, which is constructing a new lamination facility. Mr. Elliott will be located in Singapore, and he will continue to report to Brian E. Shore, Park’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Elliott had been the President of Neltec, Inc., Park’s high-technology circuitry material business unit located in Tempe, Arizona, since his appointment to that position in January 2005. He will be succeeded as President of Neltec, Inc. by Patrick Crowley, who served as President of Neltec Europe SAS, Park’s circuitry materials business unit located in Mirebeau, France, from October 2004 to May 2005. From 1998 to 2004, Mr. Crowley had been Quality Assurance Manager at Neltec, Inc., and for the thirty years prior to 1998, Mr. Crowley held various operational, managerial and sales positions with several companies in the electronics manufacturing industry.

Mr. Elliott is succeeding Gary M. Watson, who has been Senior Vice President of Park in charge of its Asian business unit since August 2002 and who is completing his previously agreed to three-year assignment in Asia and is leaving the Company to start his own management consulting business as originally planned.

Brian Shore, Park’s President and CEO, said, “I am very pleased that Howard Elliott has agreed to take on the leadership position of our Asian business unit, particularly at this critical juncture. Asia is undoubtedly a region where our company will look to enhance, grow and expand its presence as an advanced material company. Under Howard’s leadership, we also hope to enhance and expand our product development activities in Asia. We are currently seriously exploring the possibility of expanding our advanced composite business footprint into Asia, and Howard will certainly be very involved in that effort as well.”

Brian Shore continued, “I am also very happy that Pat Crowley has agreed to become the leader of our high-technology digital and RF/Microwave circuitry material business in Tempe, Arizona. I was personally very pleased with Pat’s performance as a leader of our Neltec Europe business unit in Mirebeau, France during a very difficult and trying period.”

Brian Shore concluded, “Lastly, I would like to thank Gary Watson very much for leading our Asian business unit for the last three years. During this period, Gary led people through some of the most serious adversity including the SARS crisis, threats of terrorism in Singapore and, of course, the treater accident tragedy which we will live with forever. Gary leaves a much stronger and more focused and more positive team in Singapore than the team he inherited three years ago without any doubt. Thank you, Gary for everything. We will miss you. Good luck to you with your new business venture.”
