PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL CORP. ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF NELCOTE™ F-529 ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PHENOLIC PREPREG FOR AEROSPACE INTERIOR APPLICATIONS

Melville, New York, May 21, 2007….Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced the introduction of its new halogen-free Nelcote™ F-529 phenolic prepreg for aerospace and mass-transit interior applications. This product is available globally.

The newly released Nelcote F-529 prepreg provides outstanding flame/smoke/toxicity (“FST”) performance required for aerospace interior applications. F-529 has been specifically formulated to have extremely low heat-release properties (below 20/20). In addition, F-529 has been formulated without the use of halogenated compounds, providing customers with an environmentally friendly “halogen free” material choice. The bright white finish of F-529 provides aircraft interior customers with an ideal surface to prepare for final decorative finishes with minimal effect on the color. Nelcote F-529 is compatible with press-cure, as well as vacuum-bag/oven and autoclave processes, and is a self-adhesive system when used in combination with honeycomb sandwich panels.
