PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL CORP. ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT OF EMILY J. GROEHL AND APPOINTMENT OF ANTHONY W. DIGAUDIO AS VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES FOR THE CORPORATION

Melville, New York, May 4, 2005…Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE – PKE) announced the retirement of Emily J. Groehl as Senior Vice President, Sales of the Corporation effective June 10, 2005 after 20 years of service to the Corporation. Park also announced the appointment of Anthony W. DiGaudio as Vice President of Sales for the Corporation effective June 13, 2005. Mr. DiGaudio originally joined the company on May 13, 2002 as Product Director and was promoted to his current position of Vice President of Quality on May 10, 2004. The company is conducting a search to fill the position of Vice President of Quality which Mr. DiGaudio will vacate on June 13, 2005. In Mr. DiGaudio’s new position, he will continue to report to Brian Shore, Park’s President and CEO.

Brian Shore said, “Although Emily has been planning her retirement for quite some time and I have been aware of Emily’s plans, I am still personally struggling badly with coming to grips with the concept of Park Electrochemical without Emily. Emily is without doubt the best sales person I have ever known, and I have known the best and the worst of them! Emily has always conducted herself with the utmost of dignity, and Emily is widely respected and admired throughout the industry. Emily’s retirement will not only be a huge loss for Park, but a major loss for the industry as well. Without Emily’s presence…and Emily has a very powerful presence…it would have been so much more difficult and painful for our company to have gone through the extremely difficult times of the last four or five years. To say we will miss Emily would be the utmost in understatements. Simply put, it just will never be the same without the magic of Emily’s presence. (One little piece of good news is that Emily has agreed to help us in the future as a consultant!) Emily is, and will be for the rest of my life, one of my dearest friends. We all wish Fred (Emily’s husband) and Emily the very, very, very best of everything there is in their retirement. There will never be another Emily. They broke the mold with Emily Groehl.”

Brian Shore concluded, “We are also very pleased that Tony DiGaudio will shortly be stepping into the elevated position of Vice President of Sales for the Corporation. Tony has a very strong technical background, and I believe Tony will bring more of a technical orientation to the sales function (which is definitely a good thing!). Since the head of sales is such a critical position for our company, we are delighted that one of our own, Tony DiGaudio, will be taking on that role. Based upon Tony’s background and based upon knowing Tony so well, I am confident that Tony will be very successful in his new position as the Company’s leader of sales.”
