Park / Nelco Announces Acquisition of QLP Laminates

Anaheim, California, July 1, 1999 – Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE-PKE) announced that its Nelco Products, Inc. subsidiary has acquired the assets of QLP Laminates from the AMP Incorporated subsidiary of Tyco International Ltd. The mass lamination portion of the QLP Laminates operations, located in Anaheim, CA, will be integrated into Park’s Nelco Technology, Inc. subsidiary in Tempe, Arizona, while the remaining portion of the QLP operations will be integrated into Nelco Products, Inc., headquartered in Fullerton, CA.

QLP is an important acquisition for Park / Nelco as it compliments Nelco’s current capacity needs while future growth programs progress in California and New York.
