Park / Nelco Announces Appointment of John Jongebloed As Vice President Of Global Logistics

LAKE SUCCESS, New York, April 18, 2000…Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE-PKE) today announced the appointment of John Jongebloed as Vice President of Global Logistics of the company. Mr. Jongebloed will continue to serve as President of New England Laminates Co., Inc. (“Nelco New York”), Park Electrochemical’s high technology volume printed circuit material business located in Newburgh, New York. In his capacity as Vice President of Global Logistics for the company, Mr. Jongebloed will be responsible for leading the global logistics function and coordinating all intercompany transactions among the company’s eleven business units in North America, Europe and Asia.

Mr. Jongebloed originally joined the company in 1989 as the Controller of Nelco New York, and served in that capacity until 1991, at which point he became the Director of Operations for Nelco New York. Mr. Jongebloed served in that capacity until 1992, at which point he was elected as Vice President and General Manager of Nelco New York. In May of 1999, Mr. Jongebloed was elected as the President of Nelco New York and continues to serve in that capacity. Prior to joining the company in 1989, Mr. Jongebloed served as the Division Controller of Materials Research Corp. located in Orangeburg, New York. Mr. Jongebloed received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Iona College in 1978.
